Your Career and Public Reporting: The Qualified Persons Short Course for Students

Short Course for Students - Qualified Persons and professional requirements

To all undergrad and grad students - no background necessary

Many of you will be entering the geoscience industry when you complete the degree. Geoscientists Canada, and the various organizations that legislate geoscience professionals across the country, including APEGS in Saskatchewan, have developed a Short Course that will provide useful information about your role as a professional.

The course will be offered in the afternoon before the upcoming Saskatchewan Geological Survey Open House in Saskatoon, and will be held at the University of Saskatchewan so that it will be free to students. APEGS will be sponsoring the refreshments.

Topics to be covered will include: Reporting, Qualified Person, and Mining and NI 43-101 (Note that there will not be enough time to cover Oil and Gas and NI 51-101).

Location:
University of Saskatchewan, Biology 125 room (near the Geology Museum and the dinosaurs) from 12:30 to 4:30 pm on Monday, Dec 3rd. The course will finish in plenty of time for participants to get to the Delta Bessboro for the Icebreaker at the Open House.

The maximum number of participants is 40, so please
send me an email if you plan on attending as soon as possible, by November 20th at the latest. This will also allow us to organize refreshments. Further details will be provided to registrants.
